Woodturning micro-studio in Tottenham, North London

I've been turning as a hobby for twenty years — my first lathe was a barmitzvah gift from my grandfather. I now work in the micro-studio I designed and built in my garden in Tottenham. My favourite pieces are simple, tactile, and built around imperfections in the wood: burrs, bark, water stains. I offer commissions for gifts and special occasions.

Handturned yew bowl
Handturned burr oak platter
Handturned wooden box with char marks
Bespoke wooden box from waterlogged punting pole
Pair of handturned burr bowls
Handturned wooden bowl with natural hole
Bespoke handmade mezuzah in oak and ebony
Handturned wooden spring bulb lamp
Bespoke handmade mezuzah in boxwood

I take commissions for gifts such as ring boxes, kitchenware, and decorative pieces.

I specialise in judaica — mezuzot, seder plates, etrog and kiddush cup boxes, etz chaim for sifrei torah, and so on. I'm one of very few woodturners outside Israel making these on a bespoke basis.

Commissions start at £150 with a lead time of 4 weeks (if you've left it late for a gift I might be able to expedite. Ask!). Fill out the form below and I'll be in touch to begin the design process together.

Thanks — I'll be in touch soon.
